LOS ALTOS — Authorities last week arrested a Los Altos man for alleged possession of child pornography.

Jeffrey Rowland

In a news release Tuesday, the Los Altos Police Department said it received multiple “CyberTip reports” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January.

A follow-up investigation by the Los Altos and Mountain View police departments identified Jeffrey Rowland as a suspect.

On Feb. 27, the Los Altos Police Department, with assistance from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, searched Rowland’s residence and seized child pornography, according to police.

Rowland was arrested and booked into jail on possession of child pornography charges.
