PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION

The conference course on suspect interrogations will focus on interviewing and interrogating suspects of child sexual assaults. Topics will include rapport building, theme development, obtaining useful background suspect information and styles of confrontation.

PRESENTER BIO
Lt. Scott Cornfield is a 24-year veteran of the San Jose Police Department and a recognized subject matter expert on interviews & interrogations. He has provided interrogation training to thousands of students throughout California. In addition to providing instruction to police officers, he has also taught arson investigators, insurance investigators, probation & parole agents and school administrators. Besides teaching in-house for the San Jose Police Department, he is an instructor of the Regional Criminal Justice Training Center at Evergreen College and the San Jose interview/interrogation coordinator for the Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigation (ICI).
