PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
An introduction into wireless technology and the impact that it will have on
investigations. Discussion on encryption, WEP, and trusted relationships
with wireless routers. An overview of various applications used to detect,
record and intrude on wireless networks.
PRESENTER BIO
Detective
Michael Tansey is a sworn member of the New Jersey State Police and has been
a member for ten years. He is currently assigned to the High Technology
Crimes and Investigation Support Unit. He is primarily responsible for
conducting numerous investigations into child pornography and child luring.
Detective Tansey also instructs New Jersey law enforcement officers in the
technology and methodology of computer related investigations. He provides
forensic analysis and court testimony. He also extensively lectures the
public on issues concerning Internet Safety.
