PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
Introduction to U/C operations including setting-up undercover machines,
developing identities, introduction to various applications used by
perpetrators and logging of these applications. Various tools that can be
used online to identify the suspect and discussion on various pitfalls that
can ruin a good case.
PRESENTER BIO
Detective
Michael Tansey is a sworn member of the New Jersey State Police and has been
a member for ten years. He is currently assigned to the High Technology
Crimes and Investigation Support Unit. He is primarily responsible for
conducting numerous investigations into child pornography and child luring.
Detective Tansey also instructs New Jersey law enforcement officers in the
technology and methodology of computer related investigations. He provides
forensic analysis and court testimony. He also extensively lectures the
public on issues concerning Internet Safety.
