PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
This presentation will explain the origin and the evolution of the "Innocent Images National Initiative", how it has progressed to be one of the nations most successful undercover Cyber programs today, benefits of being part of an IINI task force and how to join. A number of cases, covering both successes and problems will be reviewed. Questions will be encouraged in order to improve you investigative techniques with current and future cases.
PRESENTATION BIO
Chris has been a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy for the last 16 + years. He has been a member of the Los Angeles branch of the Innocent Images National Initiative task force, known as the SAFE team for the last 3+ years. In that time he has helped departments from around the country and the world in the investigation of child exploitation and Internet related investigations.
Chris’ background includes an extensive patrol background, including specialized units directed towards street crimes and juvenile prostitution cases. His current assignment relies on his ability to conduct forensic interviews of children, conduct online exploitation investigations, interstate kidnapping investigations and forensic computer examinations.
Chris also travels around the country presenting and providing training to various organizations regarding Internet exploitation. This includes numerous child abuse symposiums in locations such as Dallas, Anchorage, San Francisco and San Diego. He has also provided presentations and training to police agencies such as the FBI National Academy Alumni, International Chief of Police Association, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Secret Service, University of Southern California and other community colleges.
