Two San Rafael men, including a Boy Scout troop volunteer, were arrested in a child pornography bust involving regional task force investigators.

Lorenzo Tziquin Tambriz, 30, was booked into the Marin County Jail on allegations of possessing child porn. He remained in custody Thursday in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The scout volunteer, John Cazier Blecka, 64, was booked on similar allegations and released on bail while prosecutors review the case.

Reached at his accounting office in Larkspur, Blecka said he visited anonymous chat rooms where lewd images were offered or just sent to him, but he never sought child porn.

“I’m trying to get a hold of an attorney right now to help me out,” he said. “I’m definitely not interested in little kids and boys and stuff like that.”

Blecka said the computers seized by investigators did not involve his clients’ files, because he only visits the chat rooms from his home computer.

The bust happened on Wednesday at five residences in San Rafael. City police obtained search warrants for the homes based on leads from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

“At each residence, electronics were seized and forensically examined to determine whether or not child pornography was present on those devices,” said San Rafael police Lt. Dan Fink.

Investigators from other agencies participated in the sweep because the Silicon Valley task force draws upon forensics specialists from various local and federal entities. In Wednesday’s operation, those entities included the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, the Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Santa Clara County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Team, the Morgan Hill Police Department, Livermore Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service.

Detectives found probable cause to arrest Tambriz and Blecka that day, but deferred action on the other three targets pending further analysis of their computer files.

Fink said there is no indication that the alleged child porn involves local minors.
